The Newspaper Society, founded in 1836, is the trade association for the UK regional press. It represents and promotes the interests of over 1300 regional and local, daily and weekly, paid-for and free titles.
Technical advisers to the Newspaper Society, AdWeb hosts their web server, built their marketing intranet and developed their online database, allowing Internet access to detailed newspaper data for over a thousand regional newspaper titles. A recent AdWeb addition to this service was the 'Sections and Supplements' database - details of regular sections, supplements, editions, magazines, directories and web sites produced by regional and local newspapers, searchable by name, type, content or geographic area.
AdWeb also wrote the NS's 'Electronic Questionnaire' - a convenient electronic system to capture and validate publisher information at point of origin.
